Advanced Pattern Matching Anti-Spam Engine
This award-winning anti-spam engine examines the contents of a message to identify spam. Each message is filtered to expose important characteristics and then piped into the pattern-matching engine. The engine identifies the messages features and converts the message into a collection of pattern match records. These records are then interpreted by a results processor and delivered as a result code that indicates if a message is spam.

Reputation analysis rates the reputation of the email sender based upon the percentage of spam messages previously sent from that IP address. The greater the percentage of spam messages sent from an address in the past, the more likely it is to be spam.
URL Filtering
Frontgate utilizes URL filtering to increase spam detection accuracy by comparing embedded links found in email messages with URLs associated with previously identified spam messages.
Reputation-based RBL Filtering
Frontgate assigns a confidence score to leading industry real-time block lists based on their spam detection accuracy. These lists are used to identify known spam sources and their associated IP addresses.
